we were on our boat on Inle Lake at 5 am. this day was the culmination of the Phaung Daw U festival, which takes place here over a period of 20 days, and is the biggest festival of the year in Shan State33 views

we felt so lucky to be in Inle on this day. we hadn't planned our trip to Burma to coincide with this festival, but once there & we'd heard about it of course we had to experience it. what amazing timing33 views
